Hello From Georgia! Hello from the great State of Georgia! This is my first official BLOG. Don't have a clue as to what I'm really doing with this BLOG, but I'll try to come up with something that's expected of me. Or maybe not. Here goes the intro:
Our story is about family, faith in God and a dream bigger than us! We're the Johnson family and we fondly call ourselves "the family unit". There's the leader of the pack, my husband, Jackie [who lovingly encourages me in following my dream---even though it hasn't always been the easiest route], who is truly the spiritual leader of our household. I could go on.....but I'll save some good stuff for later.
We have two daughters----Courtney Leighe, our oldest daughter and music extrordinaire. [can I say that without sounding like I'm bragging on her?] Well, sure, I'm not really bragging! But I am so very thankful that she has turned into the productive, kind, creative, musical and Godly daughter that we prayed for. Courtney plays the bass guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, french horn, dulcimer and cello. For real. I know that's quite a little extensive list we have going, but she's truly a music lover!
Next up is Candice Brittney. She's our drummer girl [with a few more instruments thrown in--violin [fondly known as the "fiddle", acoutic guitar, and my nerves!] and usually the life of our "party" called life. She always has a laugh for all of us [and Courtney always thinks she gets away with quite a bit]. I never could bring myself to spank [oops, I mean "discipline"] Candice as she would always laugh uncontrollably at me every time I tried to be the stern momma. Needless to say, she did get away with a little more than Courtney but nevertheless, she is just as sweet as can be---always doing something comical--- and it's that comic relief that breaks up even the most stressful day.
The girls really get their musical inclination from their Dad....and his Dad [and Mom, too]....and his Dad. Get the picture?
Did you really want to know this much about our family unit?
Well, there's more still. No family is totally complete without some little additions---Roxy and Ringo [newest edition of the pet clan] who are both Pomeranians. You'll see their pictures soon-----it's kind of like having more kids because they don't realize they are canines. They just think they are little people in fur coats. I haven't told them any differently. Yet.
O.K. Jackie just said to add some "stuff" about me. I love to make things. Jewelry, cakes, artsy stuff, the newest craze [for me] of scrapping. I can't say scrapbooking exactly as I'm just intrigued with the little cut out shapes that I can make with all that paper. I'm working toward the actual book part, o.k.? Jewelry is really what gets me going----I love Swarovski crystals, mille fiori [thousand flowers] glass beads and sterling silver. Gold is great, but silver just looks beautiful--clean, sharp and very 'real' to me. I've tried beadmaking [realized that Click to read more |
