My Story as Best as I can Tell It [in 300 words, more or less]

 

Thank you for visiting my website!  I'm so glad to share my love of these little "jewels" that I purposefully designed with scripture on the front or back [or both] of each piece as they carry a great message with them.  Arise Shine Designs are scripture jewelry pieces---charms, pendants, earrings, necklaces, bracelets that are made right here in the USA from the best quality .925 sterling silver available.  There is a lot of heart in these pieces and I hope you'll enjoy wearing our pieces as much as I enjoy designing and making the finished pieces! 

 

Meanwhile, if you're curious as to how I arrived here on this website [thank you Jocelyn and Pappashop.com], I'll do my best to explain how we got here from there.....[there being the place when I first realized that jewelry could definitely have more purpose than just putting the icing on a wardrobe].  What a great day that was!   

 

My love for scripture and words began my love for scripture on art and jewelry.  The story began in 1995 when I saw scripture used in the form of jewelry and from that moment on, I knew that the only jewelry that I wanted to wear was His Word!  I felt that it accomplished a few things----it helped me memorize scripture [which I needed so much!], it allowed me to share the Word with others and it became an exciting visual reality that jumped out of the pages of the Bible for me to wear all day long!   

 

In 1998, I began envisioning little designs with a little whimsical style which represented happiness, joy and all the things that we all desire in life.  I wasn't exactly the "artist"---I had oodles of ideas but I definitely didn't think that I was a true artist---I could just see these little things on the silver screen in my mind.  I just had a great love for scripture, happy designs and a lot of faith and hope to share with others.  I actually had hoped to have another artist make these little "ideas" that I had, but I know now that God had other plans for my life.  It was three years later, in 2001, that it was time to see this dream realized.  As most things in life, it wouldn't be an easy transition going from marketer, promoter and distributor of one line of jewelry, to creating those little jewels that were in my head and eventually being able to hold them in my hand.

 

Fast forward to today, and this website will represent the culmination of the path I've walked on for a little over four years now.  It's really a story of a dream realized; a story of family and faith in God; and a knowing that there's much more.  It's a victorious story of man saying it isn't possible---yet knowing that ALL things are possible with God.  Hey, what's your dream?  Go for it and go with God!
